Do I need a special license to ride a Vespa?
You only need a regular driver’s license to ride our 50cc models. Anything above 150cc will require a motorcycle endorsement, which is very easy to get. Ask one of our Product Specialists and they will walk you through the process.
 
Is it easy to ride?
Place your key in the ignition, press the engine start button to turn on your Vespa and twist the throttle to go. It’s that simple! Riding a scooter is one of the easiest things to learn. You will never look back!
 
How fast does a Vespa / Piaggio scooter go?
The top speed of a Vespa depends on its engine size and weight. The-50cc scooter can go up to 30 MPH, a 150cc can go 65 mph and a 300cc scooter can go up to 80 mph.
 
Do I have to insure my Vespa / Piaggio scooter?
Yes, you are required to insure your Vespa scooter here in New York. Insurance for a scooter is approximately $20 to $40 per month.

What about cargo capacity?
Every Vespa/Piaggio scooter comes standard with plenty of lockable cargo space for storing travel essentials. Optional top cases and other cargo solutions are also available.
 
Can more than one person ride on a Vespa/Piaggio scooter?
Yes, all our scooters are built to carry to riders. Bring a friend along for the fun!
